My mother passed away unexpectedly a little over a month ago and now I have a question in self-discovery. I never imagined my first blog post would be in reference to her being gone, but here we are. As I work through the grief of suddenly losing her, a recurring theme is happening. Through various conversations with loved ones, my own internal voice, along with God and The Holy Spirit reminding me to be obedient, I keep hearing I have a self discovery journey to tell.
A story to tell with the sole purpose of helping others and bringing God glory. I’ll share more around my sweet mother and her ultimate assignment soon, but I knew I just needed to get started writing. It’s time to press start. I admire others who blog like Wisdom & Courage and it’s time for me to answer my calling.
In 2015 I started my blog Love Homegrown. My rebrand has been sitting in draft mode for entirely too long. And now there’s a question in self discovery that I’m ready to tackle. As I sit here tired but comfy on the couch in an oversized hoodie, I’m excited to be excited about blogging again. I aspire to become as consistent as Tomi, one of my favorite lifestyle bloggers.
I pray that other’s will benefit from me sharing more about my life journey through 4 pillars:
- Grief and healing
- Self discovery and mental health vs. emotional health
- General lifestyle updates with blogging and microinfluencing
- My love for midsize beauty..mainly nails, jewelry, and fashion
I think I have something to offer this world before I go. No, I know I have something special to offer.
I hope that by blogging and sharing more of me starting today (my mother’s birthday), you can be reminded of how amazing you are, that you have purpose on this earth, and that you have someone in a corner of the internet rooting for you. Take this as your hint to ask yourself a question in self-discovery too.
As you come along my journey and get to know me and all the things that bring me joy, I hope you can be encouraged to press start. We all have an assignment we need to carry through while on earth, and we owe it to ourselves to make the most of life. God will call all of us home one day to finish out our ultimate assignment in heaven. Why not do the best we can, stop waiting, and go for what we love while still here?
Today I encourage you to press start on whatever you’ve been waiting for. The work you do now is preparing for an ultimate assignment that will be more beautiful than you could ever imagine.
So what question in self discovery am I posing to myself? Make sure you’re subscribed to my newsletter (at the bottom of this page) to find out in my next blog post.
Until next time Lovies, live in the quiet, joyous expectation of good (one of my favorite quotes for self-discovery by Ernest Holmes).
Grateful for you,
T.Love
